Way to Go, Martha

I was planning on posting about the rad table design in this wedding from Martha Stewart but when I read that some people who were so offended by it that they felt the need to take the time out of their day to actually write to the magazine to express their disapproval I thought I should also acknowledge the significance of this particular wedding. I am thrilled about the first same-sex wedding in Martha so maybe I should write a letter to show my approval and my hope that there will be nothing but more diversity in issues to come. At least to counterbalance the folks who are obviously all in a tizzy about it. Now about those tables...

LOVE that table...and yay for Martha! Weddings are a time for a celebration of love; it is sad that some people feel that certain individuals shouldn't have the right to their own happiness. Martha's magazine is designed to showcase beautiful weddings; that particular wedding WAS incredibly well styled and chic! It definitely deserved the nod it received from her!

Agreed a thousand time over... I think it's amazing that Martha very publicly joined the ranks of folks who support marriage equality. I'm sure that many in the mainstream wedding industry do not, and taking a stand on the right side of things was a courageous thing to do. Bravo Martha!

I was so happy to hear that Martha Stewart has showcased a same-sex wedding.

On a side note, that little puppy in the wedding photo is adorable!

Their tablescape is beautiful as well.

Martha, I'm an even bigger fan now!

Gorgeous wedding -- gorgeous couple!
Cudos to Martha for featuring it... pains me that people *still* have issues with same sex marriage...
