Do you ever just want to run off with your lover man and get hitched on the spot. No froufrou dress, no centerpieces, no confetti. Just you and your man in the moment. I do. All the time. What is SO wrong about getting married by Elvis in Vegas? It's a six hour drive and it would be spontaneous and romantic. McG is not spontaneous and only accidentally romantic. He wants the whole shebang. I just want to be married to him. And to be honest I get kind of offended when he says no, we can't hope in the car and go to a drive-thru chapel. If he really wanted to marry me, I mean really wanted to, would it matter where and when it was? We can always have the big party later, right? Take these two love birds - Jen Gotch (you know her and love her from my polaroid blog) and her now-hubbie. They felt it after just one week! They knew they just needed each other and went off to Vegas. How sweet is that???

I sort of got to do this with my lovely and now we're having the big party(s). Best of both worlds, I'm such a spoilt cow :)
Love your blog by the way!!
oooh I'm so jealous but so happy for you!
I did this...and now I'm renewing my vows. I missed being able to share it with our friends. We've been married 5 years and will be married 7 when we renew our vows. We planned on doing it right after...but we have a 4 and a half year old...you do the math. :) Great blog.
Practically every day I ask myself, "why didn't you just elope like you originally planned?"
My parents would never forgive me. But in the end, I'm sure all the stress and planning will all be worth it.
