Photobooth Party

A photobooth was my one decor necessity from even before the very beginning. I LOVE photobooths and squeezing as many people in whenever one is around. Of course, renting a photobooth is completely out of my budget but that hasn't stopped me yet, has it? I know we've all seen a million different photobooths but I don't care. I think it will be a blast and a little crowd pleaser. Now the only thing besides figuring out how to make the camera remote work is to come up with a background idea. I'm still partial to the simple fabric backdrop but there are so many other possibilities!

My parents would never let me paint the house but I love this!

And my favorite - the blackboard paint wall

I love that silhouette photo backdrop as well! How cool that Davina + Daniel are shooting your wedding too! I think we're going to provide a couple backdrop choices: the silhouette one with the wall cutouts and the vintage pulp fiction cover. The SF Opera had their every-5-years only costume shop sale and I snagged a couple bolts of fabric for $5!!

if you have a polaroid spectra, there is a remote/antenna you can buy (usually on ebay) to make it possible to have your guests take their own pics. we used a spectra + remote for our photobooth and it was hilarious. that said, polaroids are now madly expensive.

I love photobooths!!! A couple of my friends had them at their weddings and I wish I'd thought about it at ours (although we didn't have the money or the space, but maybe I'd have found a photography student to take the photos for nothing? they wouldn't have turned out any worse than photos from a "real" photobooth, right?). I think the blackboard idea is excellent - because people can write their messages to you - but it might be time-consuming, since people will write their messages to you. :) My second-favorite is the wallpaper - you could achieve that look with vintage fabric swatches too, and I can see it really going with your whole look (whether you use fabric or wallpaper). And... *looks innocent* why ever wouldn't your parents go for you painting the house? ;)

I love the blackboard chalk wall. Great backdrop for a DIY photobooth. We have a small chalkboard wall in our place and love it!

I vote blackboard wall. P.S. I have a ton of cool photo booth stuff that is going to go to waste now. You should use it for your wedding. We were also thinking of having a photo booth party just because, in which case you and the Mr. would for sure be invited

My photographer threw together a FABULOUS photo booth last minute. Some of the best photos of the wedding!! You must do it.

Dude, we'll hook you up with the tripod, camera and remote and whatnot! You do your thing with the backdrop, but you can leave the technical stuff up to us!
