The Latest and Greatest?

Thank you to everyone who said howdy the other day. I had so much fun checking out your blogs!

So I talked to my mom the other day about, what else, wedding stuff. Remember how I wasn't planning on making my "wedding warriors" wear specific outfits? Well, scratch that. Mom would think it would be real nice if all my friends had a theme to their dresses since they have been such good friends. And I was like "If I was really a good friend I wouldn't make them do that" but I love my momma so I'll try and meet her half way. Plus Green Wedding Shoes did that whole post on mismatched dresses and I was sold (good timing!). So between pastels and grays, I've come up with grays since, really, we shouldn't risk the "easter egg" effect.

Then the man and his man friends came up with this brilliant idea today - SEERSUCKER SUITS! With hats! And bowties! Really, I don't know how they think this stuff up. I'm working on editing the hats out (I don't know when this became a southern belle wedding) but I've always been a fan of seersucker so I'm in.

So here is a new board...somehow we have gone from GLAM to BOHO to FRENCH PICNIC . What?

I LOVE mismatched dresses! I was in a wedding where they did that and I thought it was the best thing EVAH. I promised myself that I'd let each of my bridesmaids pick out their own dress to match their personality!

Lo and behold, I take them all out shopping at a place where there are literally 8700 different styles and the three of them that were there come out of the dressing room in the same dang dress.

I lost that argument, obviously. :(

BTW, you could have a Frencho bohemian glam picnic, you know. Just sayin'. ;)

Oh, I love the new direction! French Picnic sounds just lovely - I can totally see a collection of light pink/peach + white floral arrangements to complete the picture. Thumbs up from me!

we somehow ended up on a summer french garden picnic as well - from a winter barn wedding. it's funny all the changing, isn't it? it just gets hard when you actually have to stick to your plan and they won't let you change anymore... : )
