I've been on the hunt for a tea length dress with a ballerina-style top. You know, like, the leotard/sweetheart style neckline with a little bit of gathering. This shouldn't be so hard, right??? WRONG! It's virtually impossible. At least within a modest budget. Why can't we just mix and match a little bit of everything we like?
I may have to enlist/bribe/beg my mother to make a dress for me.

You should have someone make you a dress. I bet the wonderful Holly Stalder could make a custom tea length gown in your budget. Or close to your budget... There's also the option of buying one you kind-of like and having someone alter it into your dream dress.
